St. Francis is a double rite feast commemora...Emb,<br /><br />St. Francis is a double rite feast commemorated on a Sunday and so the 'filler' collects, or prayers of the season are omitted.<br /><br />The prayers of the season, e.g. <i>A cunctis</i>, are said in all Masses of semi-double rite or lower but are not said on double feasts.<br /><br />Following the 1911-13 reform double feasts were commemorated on a Sunday (before 1911 the double feast would have been celebrated and the Sunday commemorated).
