I always used to say it privately after each hour but heard from several people that it was only for the end of the day.Seminariannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8669950994040167422.post-26987431808767516732009-08-28T05:53:49.062+00:002009-08-28T05:53:49.062+00:00Seminarian,

Glover for the Sacred Triduum his practice was to have Sacrosanctae before departing choir after every Office or aggregation. I have always followed the same practice and advocated it.

However, I now tend to the view that it is probably more correct to recite it after the Office of the day is completed. I will do some research on the question.Rubricariushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05050302650867319277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8669950994040167422.post-6777106510803073392009-08-27T00:13:42.067+00:002009-08-27T00:13:42.067+00:00This comment does not pertain to the XII Sunday af...This comment does not pertain to the XII Sunday after Pentecost but I wasn't sure where to ask it!

With respect to the breviary: does one recite the prayer "Sacrosanctae" after each inidividual office (or after the last of several offices when they are aggregated), or does one only recite it at the end of the day, viz., after Compline?Seminariannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8669950994040167422.post-46983059200947724952009-08-23T18:08:55.921+00:002009-08-23T18:08:55.921+00:00Francis,

(I am not sure what the rules are: the Octave of the Assumption was a greater double but the I.H.M. is a double of the second class.)Francisnoreply@blogger.com
