Strictly speaking one needs four deacons for Palm Sunday (and for the other days Passions are sung) - that is most unlikely to happen. There appears to have been a long practice of 'bending the rules' to adapt to practical circumstances.Rubricariushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05050302650867319277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8669950994040167422.post-55225947466270610402009-04-16T08:05:00.000+00:002009-04-16T08:05:00.000+00:00An eyewitness reports that at the FSSPX chapel in ...An eyewitness reports that at the FSSPX chapel in Singapore, the reading of the Gospel before the procession was done by a layman (presumably in the vernacular). Please let me move away even more:

Here in India (Bombay) about 20 people (out of a total of about 50) have stopped attending SSPX Masses because:
1. Benedict and the local ordinary are named in the Canon but are routinely disobeyed, and have not granted the SSPX priest jurisdiction. These 20 insist that these should not be named in the Canon
2. The insertion of the name of St Joseph in the Canon violates 'Quo Primum' likewise the other changes made in the 1962 Missal.

It is also claimed that the 1955 Holy Week changes were not published in the Acta Apostolicae Sedis, and therefore can be ignored.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8669950994040167422.post-30184448872873846932009-04-15T09:11:00.000+00:002009-04-15T09:11:00.000+00:00Anonymous,
