The Saint Lawrence Press is dedicated to the preservation of the classical Roman Liturgy and seeks especially to raise awareness of the process of liturgical reform before the Second Vatican Council. To meet these aims the Saint Lawrence Press publishes an Ordo Recitandi, in Latin, modelled on those produced in Rome in the middle of the last century before the unpleasant,
unfortunate, and damaging, changes of the 1950's and early 1960's.
The Ordo Recitandi contains the necessary information enabling those who wish to celebrate the traditional Divine Office and Mass to identify those variable parts for every day in the Liturgical year.

These questions aren't related to this week, but I'm trying to look ahead: Am I correct in thinking that the Creed is said on the anniversary of the election/coronation of the Pope and the election/consecration/translation of the bishop, even if the votive Mass is not said but only the votive collect added (e.g. at a private Mass)?
Secondly, if a feast that has duplex rank in the universal calendar is reduced to a simplex/commemoration because of a local feast, is it from then on considered a duplex or a simplex? For example, in England, St Paulinus of Nola is only commemorated on June 22nd because of the feast of St Alban. If another, higher feast were to be translated to that day, would the commemoration of St Paulinus be treated as a simplex or a duplex?

Yes, the Creed would be said.
In those cases the double feast is considered as reduced to a simple under the 1911-13 rubrics.

Thank you very much for your reply. So presumably it would follow all the rubrics for a simplex concerning commemorations?
Another question, if I may: if 30th December is a local feast, would the Sunday within the Octave of the Nativity be commemorated on that day in England (when it can't actually be observed on the Sunday): assuming that St Thomas would exclude that commemoration as do the preceding comites Christi of duplex II classis rank?

As long as the day is not of simple rite itself as that would always exclude the Creed etc.
The Sunday within the Octave would indeed have to be on the 30th.
